Research on the Impact of AI-Aided Radiology Reading Using Eye-Tracking Accepted for Scientific Poster Presentation at RSNA 2025, the World’s Largest Radiology Conference

Medical AI Promotion Institute, Inc.(Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Director General: Yuki Shimahara; Representative Director& CEO: Sho Kawabe; hereinafter “MAPI”) is pleased to announce that its research, “How Concurrent Bounding-BoxDisplay* Affects Visual Search in Chest X-ray Reading: An Eye-Tracking Pilot Study”,has been accepted for presentation in the Scientific Poster session at the 111th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA 2025).
This study focuses on a concurrent-reader style of AI-aided reading support, in which AI analysis results are displayed from the start of interpretation. Using eye-tracking technology, it analyzes how the presence of AI influences the reading behavior of radiologists.
Details of the study will be presented at RSNA 2025. MAPI will also have an exhibition booth during the conference. The booth number and poster location will be announced once finalized.
Going forward, MAPI will continue to promote the utilization of Japan’s medical data and advance medical AI research, contributing to a future where AI is seamlessly integrated into daily clinical practice and high-quality, diverse medical AI solutions are widely available.
